In the engraving, the Medici Fountain in the Luxembourg Gardens, Paris.

Original etching by French artist Georges Capon (1890-1980), from the series of etchings The Six Fountains of Paris.

The Medici Fountain was built around 1630 by Marie de' Medici, widow of the French king Henry IV.
In 1864 - 1866, the fountain was moved to its current location in the garden and reconstructed.
