Idomeneo is a character in ancient Greek mythology, grandson of Minos, son of Deucalion, Cretan king. One of the characters from the Iliad.
Mentor is a character from ancient Greek mythology from the island of Ithaca. Son of Alcimus, friend of Odysseus. Teacher of Odysseus's son Telemachus. As a common noun, the name became widespread after the appearance of Fenelon’s novel “The Adventures of Telemachus” (1699).
