The Battle of Weihaiwei or the Defense of Weihaiwei is a battle at the final stage of the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895.
The fighting took place from January 30 to February 12, 1895 between units of the Chinese garrison and the Beiyang (northern) squadron of Admiral Ding Zhuchang and the Japanese 3rd Field Army of General Oyama Iwao and the Combined Fleet of Vice Admiral Ito Sukeyuki.
