Moscow fire.
The Moscow fire of 1812 occurred on September 2-6, (September 14-18), 1812 during the occupation of Moscow by French troops, abandoned by the Russian army after the Battle of Borodino. The fire covered almost the entire Earthen City and the White City, as well as significant areas on the outskirts of the city.
