"Costumes Trachten'.

Crimean Tatars, Fisherman, Musician

Crimean Tatar national costume.

Elements of a men's suit consisted of a shirt and trousers (underwear and outerwear), jackets, sleeveless vests, robes and woven and metal belts. Cloth and fur jackets, fur coats and beshmets served as winter clothing. They wore a skullcap on their heads, and on the street they wore fezzes on top of it, and in winter they wore fur hats.

Women's costume is divided into festive and household. The festive costume was made from expensive fabrics, brocade, silk and velvet, and was richly decorated with embroidery using small beads or seed beads. A woman's everyday suit usually consisted of a wide-cut shirt and a robe dress, made from inexpensive fabrics. Aprons were worn over the dress. A white scarf was tied on the head. Under the dress they wore a shirt and trousers, which differed from men's in cut and length. The cut of Crimean Tatar shirts is very unique and is associated with Turkish traditions.
