The Baraba steppe (Baraba) is a lowland in the southern part of Western Siberia, within the boundaries of the Nov Sibirsk and Omsk regions. "Baraba" is the name of an ancient tribe that lived in this territory even before the Tatars and changed itself in honor of the patron totem - the jay bird.
