French engraving — Monin, Charles V.

 

Charles W. Monin (1830–1880) was a French cartographer who worked from the early to mid-19th century. Monin was one of the first cartographic engravers in Europe to take advantage of the newly discovered lithographic engraving process. His workshops were in Paris and Cana. Monin was a member of La Societe de Geographie in Paris.
