The Russian Guard is a selected privileged part of the Russian Imperial Army, the most trained and combat-ready.

 

Marshal Jean Baptiste Jules de Bernadotte  (1763-1844).
Jean Baptiste Jules de Bernadotte Brother-in-law to Joseph Bonaparte, Marshal of France, and Crown Prince of Sweden who led Sweden against France in 1813 and 1814.

 

Michel Ney (1769 - 1815), 1st Duke of Elchingen, 1st Prince of the Moskva, popularly known as Marshal Ney, was a French military commander and Marshal of the Empire who fought in the French Revolutionary Wars and the Napoleonic Wars. He was one of the original 18 Marshals of the Empire created by Napoleon I.
