Admiral Edward Pellew, 1st Viscount Exmouth, 1757-1833. British naval officer and admiral.
Portrait half-length, standing to front, with head turned to look to left, leaning on his upright sword with both hands; wearing sash with an order over naval uniform, with epaulettes and stars; rectangulal design, surmounted by anchor, rope, cannon, standard; below, naval engagement, showing Lord Exmouth destroying the pirate vessels in the mole of Algiers on 27 August 1816.
