English engraving — Cochran, John

John Cochran (1803 - 1865) was a stipple and line engraver, and a painter of miniatures. He painted many famous figures including Queen Victoria, King William IV and the Duke of York. He concentrated exclusively on portraits, which he exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1821 and 1823, and at the Suffolk Street Gallery from 1821 to 1827. Artist associated with 63 portraits.
