Nomadic camp of the Nogai Tatars in the steppe.

 

Nogai Tatars are Kipchaks, who called themselves so in honor of the first leader of the Tatars, Nogai-biy, in the 11th century. The Nogai Tatars led a nomadic lifestyle, roaming the expanses of the Don region, the Volga region, Agidel and Siberia. Under Yusuf Biy, the Nogai Tatars in the Volga region became subjects of the White Pasha - Tsar Ivan the Terrible.
