View of the Isaac Bridge and the Admiralty, St. Petersburg.

 

In the engraving, a view from the right bank of the Neva River, from the University Embankment of Vasilyevsky Island to the floating Isaak Bridge. This is the first bridge in St. Petersburg; it does not exist now. In the background, from left to right, are the Admiralty buildings, Senate Square, the monument to Peter the Great (Bronze Horseman), St. Isaac's Cathedral. At the time of the creation of the engraving, St. Isaac's Cathedral had not yet been built and the author depicted it according to drawings.
