Palace Square and the Alexander Column in St. Petersburg.

 

The Alexander Pillar (Alexandrinsky) is a monument to Alexander I, the winner of Napoleon in the war of 1812-1814. The column, erected according to the design of Auguste Montferrand, was installed on August 30, 1834.
