On the engraving - View of the Kazan Cathedral and the Kazan Bridge from the Catherine Canal (Griboebov Canal, after 1924).
The Kazan Cathedral (Kazan Cathedral) was built in 1811 in St. Petersburg, on Nevsky Prospekt, under the leadership of Alexander Sergeevich Stroganov. The building was designed by architect Andrei Voronikhin, modeled after St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. The Kazan Cathedral became a real decoration of Nevsky Prospect and was the largest church in St. Petersburg for almost half a century.
