The Winter Palace is the main imperial palace of Russia.
Built by order of Empress Elizabeth Petrovna in 1754 -1762. From 1762 to 1904 it was used as the official winter residence of the Russian emperors. Made in the Elizabethan Baroque style with Rococo elements in the interior design.
