Palace of Peterhof

 

The first royal palace was built in 1714 - 1725 according to the project of I. Braunstein, J. B. Leblond, in the style of "Peter's Baroque", on the shores of the Gulf of Finland, forty kilometers from St. Petersburg.
Rebuilt in 1745 - 1752, architect. FB Rastrelli on the Versailles model, in the so-called mature baroque style. The length of the facade facing the sea is 268 meters.
